FEBRUARY 23rd PROGRAM, 7 p.m.

“Deep Nature: Photographs from Iowa”, by Linda and Robert Scarth

TheUniversity of Iowa Press recently released a book ofphotography by Linda and Robert Scarth. Deep Nature: Photographs from Iowa looks closely at some of the smaller naturalcommunity members found in Iowa and throughoutthe Midwest. Photographers Linda and RobertScarth have an incredible eye for that magic moment when small becomesbeautiful. By revealing the miniature beauties hidden among the patches ofprairie, woodland, and wetland that remain in Iowa’s landscape, they have created asparkling jewel box of images that will make us look at the small world aroundus with renewed appreciation.

 

Meetingsof Des Moines Audubon Society begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the lower levelof Westminster Presbyterian Church, which is located at the corner of Beaverand Franklin Avenues in Des Moines.Parking is available on the north and west sides of the church and an elevatorcan be accessed at the west door.
